Makers Tutorial

Vijay Nagar is always changing, but our little corner has stayed mostly the same for the last few years. We are tucked away in this part of Indore where everything feels like it’s moving at a hundred miles an hour. There’s a lot of construction going on nearby lately, so it can get a bit dusty on the walk over to the building. Our tutorial space is basically just a few rooms we’ve filled with as many whiteboards and markers as we could find. The chairs are the plastic kind that you can stack up when we need to sweep the floors in the evening. It’s not the quietest place in the world because of all the shops and malls nearby, but it has a good energy. I usually spend the first hour of my day just organizing the registers and making sure there’s enough chalk. We don’t really do big advertisements; usually, a parent just mentions us to a neighbor and then someone else shows up the next Monday. It’s a very local thing. The afternoon heat can get quite intense in the summer, so the fans are always running at full speed. Sometimes we stay late to finish a particularly hard topic, and we end up watching the city lights come on from the balcony. It’s just a regular place where we try to get through the daily work without too much fuss or complicated rules.
