Vaanee Academy

We are set up on the Main Road in Indore, right across from Relax Garden at 2733-E. The area is usually busy with people going to the park or commuting, so there is a lot of life around us. Inside, we just have our usual classrooms and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. It is not a very big space, but it works for what we do every day. We spend most of our time here planning lessons or talking to students who drop by after their regular school hours. The traffic outside can be a bit loud sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the horns and the buses passing by. On most days, we arrive early to open the shutters and sweep the floor before the first group arrives. It is a simple routine that we have followed for a long time now. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations on the walls, just some charts and a clock that ticks a bit too loud. Sometimes we share a tea from the shop down the street when there is a break in the schedule. It feels like a very local operation because we know most of the people who live around this part of Indore. Being near Relax Garden is a good landmark because everyone knows where that is. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing. There is no big mission statement here, just a room where people come to learn things they need for their exams. We keep the lights on late most nights.
