Mahi Salon

Mahi Salon is located at number 1 in Vaibhav Nagar, which is right off Kanadia Road in Indore. It’s a pretty easy spot to get to if you are in this part of the city. The shop is small and sits on the ground level. We mostly deal with the people who live in the surrounding houses and apartments. Every morning we roll up the shutter and get the tools out. There is always a lot of dust from the road, so cleaning is the first thing on the list. We have the basic setup—chairs, mirrors, and some shelves for the creams and sprays. It’s not a place where you’ll find fancy decorations. We prefer to keep it simple and functional. Most days are a mix of quick haircuts and the occasional shave. On weekends, the bench inside gets full and people sometimes wait on their bikes outside. Kanadia Road is always busy with traffic, so there is a constant hum of engines in the background while we work. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. It’s a neighborhood shop where we know most of the people by their first names. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just the shop and the sign outside. It’s just us doing our work and making sure people leave looking a bit better than when they walked in. That is how things go here in Vaibhav Nagar.
