M H Batwala is a small place located at 41, Siyaganj. If you know the area, you know it gets pretty crowded with all the shops and people moving goods around. We’ve been here for a long time, tucked into this specific spot. The building is older and has a lot of character, even if it’s a bit dusty sometimes. We don't have a big website or a marketing team telling people what to do. It’s just us. Most of our customers are regulars who have been coming to Siyaganj for years. They know exactly where number 41 is. Inside, it’s mostly just stock and a desk where we handle the money and receipts. We write everything down by hand most of the time. It’s faster that way for us. The street outside is always noisy, but once you step inside, it’s just the usual business. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We just provide what people need and try to be fair about it. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see the same faces every time you visit. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when things are slow. Siyaganj is a tough place to work if you don't like crowds, but we’ve grown used to it over the decades. It's just home for us.
