Khana Haire Salon

Down on Sanwer Road in Indore City, you’ll find our shop. We are pretty close to Love Kush Square, which is a landmark most people know around here. The shop itself is just a regular room with enough space for a few guys to work. We have the typical setup with the long counter and all the combs and scissors lined up. It’s not a fancy place, and we don't pretend it is. Most of our customers are people who live or work nearby in the 452002 zip code. We start quite early in the morning because that’s when the laborers and office workers want their hair cut before they start their shift. The sink in the back is a bit old, but the water runs fine. We spend a lot of time talking about cricket or the weather. Sanwer Road can get quite congested, so we see a lot of traffic jams from our front door. It gives us something to talk about with whoever is in the chair. We keep the shop open late because that's when the second rush happens. It’s tiring to be on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If you want a haircut, you just walk in and wait your turn. That’s how Khana Haire Salon has always worked. It is a simple place for simple needs.
