Kartik Hair Saloon

You can find Kartik Hair Saloon at the Krushi Mandi Complex on A.B. Road. We are in shop number 06. This is in Mhow, out towards Dongar Gaon. Since we are near the mandi, there are always lots of trucks and tractors moving around. It’s a dusty area, so I’m always cleaning the mirrors and the floor. The shop is just a simple room with two chairs and a small bench for people to sit. I moved here a few years ago to start this business. Most of my customers are farmers or people working in the nearby warehouses. They want a simple haircut or a clean shave after a long day of work. I don't have any fancy hair products, just the usual soaps and creams you find in any local shop. There is no air conditioning, just a large pedestal fan that makes a lot of noise. Sometimes the power goes out, and then I just use the natural light from the door. I keep a small radio on the shelf that plays old Hindi songs. It’s a very basic setup, nothing like the salons you see in the middle of Indore. I live not far from here, so I’m always at the shop early. Mhow is a quiet town for the most part, and I enjoy the pace of life here. Just a simple barber doing his work.
