We’ve got a spot at Plot No. 117 in Shivaji Market. It’s a busy place with a lot of metal being moved around every single day. K P Steel & Alloys has been here for a good bit now. Our plot is usually stacked high with different types of alloys and steel rods that we get in. It's not a place where you'd want to wear your best clothes, as there's always some grease or dust around. We spend a lot of time loading up the tempos that come through the market narrow lanes. The air is always thick with the sound of metal clanging and people shouting over the noise to get things done. It’s just the way things are in Shivaji Market. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. If people need something, they usually just show up and ask what we have in stock today. We try to keep a good variety of items so we don't have to turn anyone away. Some days are exhausting, especially when the weather is bad and the ground gets muddy and slippery. But we just keep at it and get the orders out. It’s a tough business, but it’s what we know. We don't make any grand claims about what we do. We just sell steel and try to make a living like everyone else around here. It’s a loud, messy, but honest way to spend the day. Usually, we wrap things up around six and head home.
