Himani Beauty Salon

I run Himani Beauty Salon over here in Sukh Vihar Apartment, right at 22/1. This is in the New Palasia area of Indore, which is a pretty good spot to be. We are very close to the Auto Cafe, so if you know where that is, you can’t miss us. The shop itself is nothing fancy. It’s just a small space we’ve set up to help the local ladies with their basic beauty needs. We have a couple of chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years and some mirrors that we try to keep clean. Most of our days are spent doing simple things like threading or basic hair cuts. Indore can get really dusty and hot, so we have the fans going all day long to keep it comfortable inside. It’s not one of those big, expensive parlors you see in the malls. We are just a neighborhood shop where people feel comfortable stopping by. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat while they wait for their turn. We don't have any big mission statements or anything like that. We just show up every day, open the shutters, and do our work until it's time to go home. It’s a quiet life here in Sukh Vihar and we like it that way. We just focus on being a practical place for the people living nearby in the apartments.
