Hair Cafe Salon

Out here in Old Palasia, things can get pretty crowded, but we have got our little corner at Hair Cafe Salon. Indore is a fast-moving city, and this neighborhood is right in the middle of all the noise. We see a lot of different people coming through our door. Some are students from the nearby colleges, some are working in the offices around the corner, and others have lived here forever. Our shop is not tucked away; it is right where the action is. We spend our days behind the chairs, scissors in hand. It is a lot of standing and a lot of talking. We do not have some big corporate manual on how to talk to people. We just chat like normal folks. Sometimes we talk about the weather, sometimes about the latest cricket scores. The shop is filled with the smell of shampoo and the sound of dryers most of the afternoon. We try to keep the place looking okay, but with so many people coming in and out, there is always something to clean or move back to its place. We are not a big chain. It is just a local spot where you can get your hair done without a lot of fuss. We focus on the work itself. If someone wants a change, we do our best to get it right. It is a good way to make a living, seeing people walk out feeling a bit more refreshed and ready for their day.
