Gurukripa Hair Salon

We are located at Shop No.3, 76 Usha Ganj in Indore. The Jain Mandir is right there, so we hear the prayers and the bells all the time. It’s a nice sound to work to. Chhawani is a crowded place, especially in the afternoons. Gurukripa Hair Salon has been here for a bit. We have three chairs but usually only two are working. The walls are painted a light blue, or they used to be, now they’re a bit darker from the years. We keep the combs in that blue liquid and make sure the razors are fresh. People come in from the market with their bags and sit for a while. We don’t rush anyone. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a break. It's a simple life. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the shop and the people who walk in. The address is easy to find if you know where the temple is. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the street. Other days, like before festivals, it's a madhouse and we don't even have time to eat. I’ve lived in Indore my whole life so I know most of the stories people tell in the chair. It’s a good way to spend the day, honestly. Just cutting hair and talking to the neighbors. No fancy stuff, just Gurukripa. We have a small mirror for the kids so they can see themselves when they sit on the wooden board we put across the chair arms. It’s an old trick but it works fine.
