Friend The Salon

We’ve been running this salon in Sri Nagar Colony for a long time. It’s a small place in Indore, right near the masjid. Most people around here just know us as the local spot to get a quick shave or a haircut. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who have been cutting hair for years. The name is Friend The Salon because we want people to feel comfortable, like they’re just visiting a neighbor. We have some old wooden chairs and a big mirror that’s been there since we started. It’s not the most modern looking place, but it’s clean enough and we know what we’re doing. We see a lot of the same faces every month. Some guys come in just to sit and talk for a bit even if they don’t need a haircut. Indore can get really hot, so we have a fan that stays on all day. It’s a simple life here. We don’t do anything too fancy, just basic grooming for the men and kids in the colony. Sometimes we stay open late if someone is coming back from work and needs a trim. We don’t have a manager or a receptionist. You just walk in and wait your turn. It’s how things have always been here. The neighborhood is quiet and we like it that way.
