Being out at the 12th kilometer mark on the Indore-Khandwa Road means we are quite a distance from the main city. Cristopia Energy Systems India Pvt. Ltd. sits on a fairly large piece of land because the energy systems we handle need the space. It is a long drive for some of us every morning, but the air is a bit clearer out here than in the middle of Indore. The road stays busy with trucks and buses passing by all day. Our building is mostly functional, designed for the heavy equipment and the technical work we do. It is not a shiny corporate office; it is more of a working site where things get built and tested. We have a small crew that looks after the grounds and the facility. In the summer, it gets incredibly dusty and the sun beats down on the metal roofs, making it pretty warm inside. We have our own setup for water and basic needs since we are a bit isolated from the local shops. Most of the staff brings lunch from home because there are not many places to eat right outside the gate. We have been at this location for some time now, and we have gotten used to the quiet and the distance. It is a straightforward environment. We just focus on the engineering and the physical tasks at hand without any fuss. The work keeps us busy enough that the day passes by quickly.
