Burhani Traders

Over at Plot No. 81 in Gali No. 2, you’ll find Burhani Traders. We are right there in the Loha Mandi area, just a bit further down the lane from the main entrance. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise and movement. We’re mostly focused on trading, so there is a lot of talking on the phone and checking what’s coming in on the trailers. The office is just a small corner of the building with some old ledgers and a computer that’s seen better days. We don’t really care about the decor; we just care about the metal. The yard is where everything happens. You have to be careful where you walk because there is always something being moved. We’ve got a good crew who knows how to handle the heavy stuff without making too much of a fuss. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to organize the piles, but usually, it’s one thing after another. We like the pace of the Mandi. It’s a community of sorts where everyone knows each other’s business. We’ve been at Plot 81 for a while, and we’ve seen plenty of people come and go. We just stay focused on the day-to-day tasks and getting the orders out the door on time. It’s not glamorous, but it’s what we do. The tea man comes around twice a day and that’s usually the highlight.
