Beauty Gents Parlour

Our shop, Beauty Gents Parlour, is tucked away in F-52 over in Lavekush Vihar. It’s a quiet part of Sukhliya here in Indore, which I like because you don't get all the heavy traffic noise from the main roads. I've been running this place for a good amount of time now. It’s just a standard gents' parlour where you can get your hair cut or a shave without any fuss. The walls are painted a simple color and I have a few posters up, mostly just to fill the space. Every morning, I walk over, open the locks, and get the water ready. Indore can get quite dry, so I’m always making sure the spray bottles are full. I see a lot of the same people every month. We’ve grown up together in this colony, so there isn't much we don't know about each other. It’s not like those big shops in the malls where they don't even know your name. Here, we sit and chat about the local cricket matches or how prices are going up. I keep the chairs clean and make sure the razors are sharp. It’s a steady life, just working through the queue and making sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in. It’s just a small business in a residential street, doing what we do. I usually close up when the street lights come on and head home nearby.
