Basant Gents Salon

Basant Gents Salon is located at Shop No. 7 in Scheme No. 114, along the Rajiv Awas Vihar Road in Indore. Being near Astha Hospital means there are always people walking by or looking for a place to sit. The shop is in a busy row of buildings in Vijay Nagar. Inside, there are several stations with mirrors and those heavy chairs that can be raised or lowered. We keep the floor clean, but with so many people coming in from the hospital area, it’s a constant job. The walls are a plain shade and we have a small television in the corner that is usually on a news channel with the volume turned down low. We have a variety of shears, combs, and electric trimmers that we use throughout the day. The smell of talcum powder is always around. It’s a typical gents salon where men come to get a quick shave or a haircut before going about their business. There is a small rack for magazines and newspapers, though most people just look at their phones while they wait. The staff wears simple clothes and we don't bother with uniforms. It’s just a place in 452010 where you can get your hair cut without any complicated talk. We know most of the people who live in the Rajiv Awas Vihar area. Sometimes we have to change the light bulbs because they flicker after being on all day long. It is just a regular shop.
