Ayush Hair Saloon

Ayush Hair Saloon is located at 690 Nehru Nagar, right on 9 No Road in the Lig Colony area of Indore. We are pretty easy to find because we’re right near Panditji Communication. I started this shop because I wanted a place that was close to home where I could do what I know how to do. It’s a simple setup. We have a couple of chairs, some sharp tools, and a radio that plays low in the background. Most of our customers are people who live right here in Nehru Nagar. They walk over after work or on their day off. We know most of their names by now. It’s not a fancy place by any means. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor tile is a bit cracked near the door, but it doesn’t bother anyone. We talk about the local news or the price of groceries. It’s the kind of place where you don't have to dress up to come in. I’ve spent a lot of years at this spot, watching the kids in the colony grow up and start coming in for their own haircuts. It makes you feel like you belong to the street. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just cut hair and keep the conversations going. If the shop is full, people just lean against the wall and wait. That’s just how we do things here in Indore on a daily basis.
