Ashoka Hair Salon

Ashoka Hair Salon is over in Tilak Nagar at number 4, Main Road. We are very close to the Sabji Mandi, so things are always pretty lively around here, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying their vegetables. Being near the market means we get a lot of foot traffic. It’s a basic hair salon where we focus on giving people a decent cut without any of the extra drama you find in those big mall shops. We have been in Tilak Nagar for years. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped if more than three people are waiting, but nobody seems to mind much. We have some old chairs that have seen a lot of use, but they still work fine. Most of the guys who come in just want a regular trim or a clean shave. We listen to the radio or just talk about what’s happening in Indore. It’s an easygoing environment. We don't have a receptionist or anything. You just walk in and if a chair is empty, you sit down. If not, you wait a bit and talk to whoever else is there. It’s a real local spot. We aren't trying to be fancy or expensive. We just want to provide a service for the neighborhood people near the Sabji Mandi. It’s a practical shop run by people who live right around here and know the names of almost every person who walks through the door.
