If you walk down the Main Road in Palsikar Colony near Majdoor Chowk, you’ll find us at number 19. It’s a busy spot, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home. The shop isn’t very big, so it can feel a bit crowded when three or four people are waiting. We have some wooden benches for people to sit on. They aren't the softest, but they do the trick while you wait your turn. The noise from Majdoor Chowk is always there in the background, with all the trucks and bikes going by. We’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly do hair cuts and shaves for the men around here. It’s straightforward work. We don’t use any of those expensive products you see on TV, just the standard stuff that works fine. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we know these mirrors well enough to see what we’re doing. Sometimes we have to run out to get more blades or some aftershave from the shop nearby. It’s a local business run by local people. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Most of our customers have been coming here since they were boys, and now they bring their own kids. It’s just part of the neighborhood routine. We keep the scissors sharp and the conversation going, and that seems to be enough for most folks around here.
