Being up here in Idukki is a bit different than working in the big cities. Limewood Resorts Private Limited is based out of Rajakkad, specifically in the Mukkudil area. If you’ve ever driven through these parts, you know how winding the roads are and how green everything stays even when the sun is out. Our daily life involves a lot of managing the property and making sure the grounds are kept up. Plants grow really fast here because of all the rain, so there is always a bush to trim or a path to clear. We are a small team and most of us grew up nearby, so we are used to the quiet atmosphere of the post office area in Mukkudil. We don't have a big corporate headquarters; we just work from where we are. It’s not about being the most famous place in the hills, but just about having a spot where things are handled properly. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow because of the trees and the weather, but we manage to get our work done. We handle the bookings and talk to people who want to see the mountains. It’s a lot of practical work, like checking on the water supply or making sure the guest areas are tidy. We just take it one day at a time here, doing what needs to be done to keep the resort going.
