Our company is Hills And Hues Resorts Private Limited. We are located in Kumily, up in the Idukki district. The building is No. 6/180-A at Kizhakkethalackal, near Amaravathy P O. Being up here in the hills is quite different from being down in the plains. It’s cooler and there’s a lot of greenery around. We run a resort, so most of our time is spent looking after the property and the people who come to stay. The building has been here for a bit, and we do our best to keep it in good shape. It’s a lot of work because the weather up here can be a bit tough on the paint and the wood. We don’t have a big corporate team. It’s mostly just us and the local staff who live nearby. We don't use those shiny brochures with fake-looking photos. What you see is what you get. We spend our days checking on the rooms, making sure the kitchen has what it needs, and talking to the people who stop by. Kumily is a busy place for tourism, but we try to keep things feeling a bit more personal and less like a factory. We aren't trying to change the world. We just want to provide a nice place for people to sleep while they are visiting the area. It’s a practical business, and we treat it that way. We just keep going, making sure everything is ready for whoever arrives next.
