Down in Idukki, specifically in the Rajakkad and Mukkudil area, is where you will find Dewdale Resorts Private Limited. It’s a quiet part of the world compared to the coast, and that’s how we like it. The office is near the Mukkudil post office, which is a small landmark for anyone living around here. We spend our days managing the resort tasks, which mostly involves making sure the rooms are ready and the gardens aren't taking over the buildings. In this climate, the grass and the vines grow so fast that you can almost see it happening. We aren't a big chain with a huge office in the city. It’s just a local operation where we do everything ourselves, from answering the phones to checking the kitchen supplies. We don't have a formal mission statement or anything like that. We just want to make sure that people who come up to the hills have a place to stay that isn't falling apart. It gets very misty here in the mornings, and sometimes the roads are a bit rough, but it's home for us. We handle all the guest inquiries and try to keep the place looking presentable. It’s a lot of physical work and staying on top of the little details that matter. We don't need any fancy language to explain that we just work hard and look after the place day in and day out.
