Zainab Garments

Our little shop, Zainab Garments, is situated in the Falaknuma area of Hyderabad. It’s a place where we mostly sell everyday clothes for the families living around here. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy, just the name on the front. Inside, it’s mostly stacks of clothes and a few hangers for the newer items that come in. Falaknuma is a busy part of town, so there’s always someone walking by or looking in through the door. We try to keep the shop open as much as we can, even on some holidays when people might need something last minute. It’s a lot of work keeping everything folded because kids often mess up the piles while their parents are looking at something else. We don’t mind it much. It’s just part of the job. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but for now, they hold up the shelves just fine. We get our stock from a few different places nearby. It’s not a complicated operation. We just sit here, talk to the neighbors, and sell a few items every day. Sometimes it’s slow, especially in the middle of the day when it’s too hot for anyone to be out. But by evening, the street fills up again. We’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us if they need a simple outfit for a family gathering or just something for school.
