Vikas High School

Vikas High School is located in the Santosh Nagar area of Hyderabad. More specifically, we are in Ram Chandra Nagar at Door No 17-1-30/1/D. It is a very busy neighborhood with a lot of houses and small shops packed together on every street. Finding the right door number can be a bit tricky the first time you visit, but once you know where we are, it’s easy enough. The school is a tall building that fits into the narrow space of the street. Inside, the classrooms are filled with rows of wooden desks and the walls are covered with charts and maps. In the morning, the street outside is full of kids in their uniforms and parents on scooters. It gets very loud around 8:30 when everyone is arriving for the day. We use every bit of space we have, even using the roof sometimes for different activities or a bit of fresh air. It is a typical city school where you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood and the traffic all day long. The teachers have been here for years and they know most of the families by name. We don’t have fancy gardens or big fields, just a solid building where the learning gets done. It’s a practical place for the kids in this part of Hyderabad to come and do their studies every single day.
