Vignana Vardhani High School & Junior College

Vignana Vardhani High School & Junior College is tucked away in the Safilguda-Malkajgiri area. If you know this part of Hyderabad, you know the streets can be narrow and the traffic is a bit of a headache during the morning hours. Our building at 30-265 has seen a lot of kids grow up over the years. We have both the school and the junior college here, so it is a mix of little ones running around and older students looking a bit more serious about their board exams. The hallways are usually very noisy during the lunch breaks. We have desks that have been scratched up by generations of students, and we just keep fixing them as they break. The teachers here have been around for a long time, so they know most of the parents in the neighborhood by name. It is a local place through and through. We do not have big fancy playgrounds, but we make use of every bit of space we have for the morning assembly and some small games. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we prioritize keeping the classrooms functional and the fans working. It gets quite loud when the bells ring at the end of the day and everyone rushes for the front gate. Malkajgiri is a crowded place, but we have managed to keep this institution going as a steady part of the local life.
