Our place is right there on Tank Bund Road, looking out over Hussain Sagar Lake. It’s one of those spots in Hyderabad that everyone knows because of the view. Working here means we see the lake every single day, through the sun and the rain. The hotel is a big operation, but the people working inside are just like anyone else. We spend our shifts walking the halls, checking on the rooms, and making sure the lobby looks decent. It’s a lot of work to keep a building this size running smoothly. Sometimes the elevators are slow or there's a mix-up with a reservation, and we just have to fix it on the spot. We aren't some distant corporation; we are the staff you see when you walk through the doors. We live in different parts of Hyderabad and commute in, just like you. The traffic on Tank Bund Road can be a nightmare during rush hour, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit calmer. We handle everything from the laundry to the front desk. It can be exhausting when there's a big event and the place is packed. We just take it one guest at a time. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything, we just want to make sure the lights are on and the beds are made. It’s a practical business and we do our best to keep things moving.
