Vasavi Public School

Vasavi Public School sits at 3-6-215 on Street No 15 in Himayat Nagar. Hyderabad is a big, noisy city, and our little corner in Himayat Nagar is no different. We are tucked into a street that gets quite narrow during the rush hours. The school has been part of this neighborhood for a good while, and most of the shopkeepers nearby know us well. Every morning, the gates open and the students start trickling in from the surrounding lanes. The building isn't brand new, but it is solid and has plenty of character. We have high ceilings and windows that look out over the street below. You can often hear the vegetable sellers or the honking of cars while we are in the middle of a math lesson. It’s just how life is here. Our teachers are local people who understand the rhythm of the city. We don't spend money on glossy brochures or big advertisements. Most people find out about us because their neighbors' kids come here. We have a small playground where the younger ones get some air during the break. It is a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we make it work. At the end of the day, when the sun starts to go down over Hyderabad, the building finally gets some peace before we do it all over again the next day. We just try to keep things moving along for the families.
