Vaibav School sits right at 32, Madannapet Colony in Mandi. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when parents are dropping off their kids before heading to work. The building itself is pretty easy to find once you’re in the colony. We’ve been here a while now. Most days start early with the sound of the bell ringing across the street. It’s not a huge place, but there’s enough room for everyone to get through their lessons. The classrooms have big windows, though sometimes the dust from the road gets in if we leave them open too long. We have some desks that have seen better days, but they do the job just fine. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front gate directly, so it gets quite warm near the entrance. Most of the families around here know us by name. It’s just a regular school where kids come to learn their basics. We don't have fancy stuff, just the usual boards and books. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the doors to let the breeze in while the students finish their work. The hallway is narrow, so we have to tell the kids not to run when they go to lunch. It’s mostly quiet during class time, except for the occasional scooter passing by outside. We’ve grown used to the rhythm of this neighborhood over the years. It feels like a part of the local scenery now.
