The Manohar

People always ask about the noise from the airport road, but after a while, you just stop hearing it. We’ve been here at this spot in Begumpet for a long time, right next to the exit road where everyone is rushing to catch a flight or heading home. The Manohar is just a building where people come and go. It’s got those big windows that look out over the traffic, and if you sit in the lobby long enough, you’ll see the same group of taxis circling around all day. The folks working here mostly live nearby, so they know all the shortcuts through the side streets when the main road gets clogged with cars. We spend a lot of our mornings just making sure the floors are wiped down because the dust from the road is a real battle. It gets pretty bright in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. Sometimes the elevators take a second to arrive, but that's just how it is. We aren't doing anything flashy here. It’s just a place to stay when you’re in this part of the city. We see a lot of business people with their rolling suitcases and families who look a bit tired from traveling. It’s a busy life out there on the road, and we’re just sitting right here in the middle of it all, day in and day out.
