Taj West End

If you’re looking for us, you have to go up to the second floor on 2nd Cross. It’s a busy part of Bangalore, but once you’re inside, it’s a bit quieter. We aren’t the ones you see in the fancy uniforms at the front gate. We’re the ones behind the scenes, tucked away in this office space. There are about ten of us working here on any given day. The elevator sometimes acts up, so we usually just take the stairs. It keeps us moving. We spend a lot of time on the phones or looking at spreadsheets. It isn't the most exciting work in the world, but it’s important to keep things running. We share a small pantry where someone is always making coffee because the Bangalore traffic makes everyone tired in the morning. Our desks are a bit cluttered with papers and sticky notes. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with strict rules about where your pens go. We just try to stay organized enough to not lose anything. It’s a decent place to spend the day. We’ve worked together for a while now, so we know each other's moods. When the rain starts, we all stop for a minute to watch it from the window. Then it's back to the files and the emails until it’s time to head out into the evening rush.
