Taj Deccan

Taj Deccan has this spot over at 109, Gangadhar Apartments in Prashanth Nagar, Malakpet. It is a bit of a different setting than the big hotel itself, as we are located in an apartment building. This means our daily routine is a bit quieter and more residential. We go up the stairs or use the lift to get to the unit where we keep all our records and handle the administration. Malakpet is a lively area, and we can usually hear the sounds of the neighborhood throughout the day. Our office is filled with the usual stuff like computers, stacks of paper, and a few old cupboards for storage. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to the main hotel or dealing with various vendors. It isn't a place where we entertain guests, so we don't worry too much about having everything looking perfect. There are some stains on the carpet and the windows could use a good wash, but it doesn't stop us from getting the work done. We usually bring our lunches and eat together in the small kitchen area. It’s a very simple setup where we just focus on the daily tasks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which gives us a minute to stretch our legs.
