Star Egg Centre

Star Egg Centre is at Plot No 13, near Omer Hotel, Hafez Baba Nagar. If you come by early in the morning, you’ll see the trucks unloading. It’s a lot of physical work, carrying crates and making sure nothing breaks. The smell of the cardboard trays is something you never quite lose. We are right near the Omer Hotel, so there is always a lot of foot traffic and people looking for breakfast nearby. Our shop is simple. It’s basically just stacks and stacks of egg crates. We don't have any decorations on the walls. It’s all about the inventory. We have to be quick because people want their deliveries early in the day. Sometimes we have a few cracked eggs, and we just set those aside. It’s a very straightforward business. You see what you get. The floor is usually covered in a bit of hay or dust from the crates. We don't have a computer system or anything fancy. We just keep track of everything in a big ledger book with a ballpoint pen. It’s been the same way for a long time. Hafez Baba Nagar is a lively place, and we are just one small part of the daily routine here. We start when it’s still dark out and finish up once the crates are gone. It’s honest, hard work and we don't mind it.
