Our office is located at Plot No. 1098 on Road No. 36 in Jubilee Hills. It’s a busy part of town, and the road outside is almost always packed with cars. The building is pretty large because we have to handle a lot of export paperwork and coordination from here. We spend most of the day at our desks, typing up manifests and checking on shipping containers that are halfway across the ocean. It’s a lot of logistics. The air conditioning is always on because the Hyderabad sun can be pretty intense through the windows. We have a lot of people coming in for meetings, so the lobby usually has someone waiting. It’s not really a place where we produce anything; it’s more of the brain of the operation. We have maps and schedules tacked up everywhere. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing for hours, especially when there’s a delay at the port. We take our breaks in the small pantry area or go downstairs to get some air. The neighborhood is fancy, but inside the office, it’s just plain work. We have stacks of files that need filing and printers that always seem to run out of ink at the wrong time. It’s a steady pace, and we’ve been at this plot for a good while. Every evening, we shut everything down, lock up, and join the traffic on Road 36 to head home. It is a long day but the work gets done.
