St Marks High School

St Marks High School sits right on the Main Road in East Marredpally. If you know Hyderabad, you know this area is always moving and shaking. Our address is Survey No.73, Plot B/C/D, and you can't really miss the gate when you are walking by. It's an old building, honestly. It has seen a lot of students come and go over the years. The hallways are a bit narrow and they get crowded when the bell rings for recess. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We mostly just focus on the classes and making sure the kids are doing their work. The traffic outside can be a bit loud sometimes, but we’ve all gotten used to the sound of horns and buses passing by. Our staff room is usually full of tea cups and stacks of notebooks that need grading. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the most modern place around, we just want to be a reliable school for the families who live in Marredpally. Most of the children walk here from the nearby lanes. We see the same faces every day at the tea stall across the street. It’s just a neighborhood school where things happen in their own time. We have some old benches and the blackboards are a bit dusty, but it works for us and the kids. We just keep things moving.
