We are right here at 10-6 on the Main Road. Being on such a central street means we are always right in the middle of everything that happens in town. It is a very direct address, and we have been at this location long enough that we don’t really think about it anymore. The Main Road is always loud with traffic and people, so we spend a lot of our time trying to keep the dust and noise out of the rooms. Running a hotel in this spot is a constant job. There is no such thing as a day off when you have people coming and going at all hours. We do most of the work ourselves, from the cleaning to the bookkeeping. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that; it’s just a small group of us trying to keep the place together. We have had to learn how to fix things on the fly because you never know when a fan will stop working or a tap will start dripping. The days are usually a blur of laundry, phone calls, and dealing with whoever walks through the front door. We aren't trying to impress anyone with fancy words; we just do our jobs. Some days are quieter than others, but there is always a list of chores waiting for us in the morning. We just keep our heads down and focus on the day-to-day reality of this business.
