You have to go to the back side of the 94 bus stop in Patel Market to find us. Sri Raj Lakshmi Saree Center is located at 21/1/475. It’s a busy spot because of the buses, so there’s always people moving around outside. Inside the shop, it’s a bit different. We have rows and rows of sarees stacked up. Some are bright colors, some are more plain. I spend a lot of time unfolding them for customers and then folding them back up again. It’s a lot of work but it’s part of the job. Patel Market is a famous place for sarees, so there is a lot of competition. We just focus on what we have on our shelves. Sometimes the shop feels too small for all the stock we have. The lights are bright so people can see the real colors of the fabric. My family has been around this area for a long time. We know how the market works. It’s not a quiet place. You can hear the bus conductors shouting and the horns honking all day. But when a customer finds the right saree, they get a big smile on their face. That makes the long days worth it. We are just a regular shop in the Hyderabad - 500002 area. Nothing more, nothing less. Just sarees and hard work. We don't use any computers here, just a paper notebook to keep track of what we sell.
