Siri Traders

Siri Traders is based in the Nacharam and Mallapur area. It’s a part of town that has really grown lately, so there’s always something new being built nearby. We operate out of a modest space that serves as both a shop and a small warehouse for the goods we trade. It’s a lot of variety, so you never really know what’s going to be the main focus of the week. One day it’s hardware, and the next it might be something completely different. I started this with a friend, and we’ve just been figuring it out as we go along. The floors are concrete and always have a bit of dust no matter how much we sweep. We don't have fancy uniforms or a big reception desk. Most of the time, I’m just wearing my old work clothes and helping unload a crate. We get a lot of local walk-ins who are looking for specific items for their homes or shops. It’s nice because you get to hear all the local gossip while you’re looking for a part in the back. Sometimes we lose track of time talking to customers and realize we should have closed up an hour ago. We don't really mind, though. It’s just the two of us mostly, and we like the independence of running our own thing. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our life and we’re happy with how things are. We just keep the doors open and see what the day brings us.
