If you go down to D. No 16-1-273/1 in Saidabad, you’ll find our little shop. Shri Krishna Readymade Blouses & Nightys has been in this spot for a while now. We mainly focus on things women need for their daily lives. The shop is full of colors and different fabrics. We have stacks of blouses in every size imaginable and nightys hanging from the ceiling hooks to save space. It’s a bit cramped in there when three or four customers are browsing at the same time, but we make it work. We don't have those big glass displays or mannequins like the malls do. It’s more of a traditional, local setup. My sisters and I run the place together. We know what fits well and what kind of cotton stays soft after a few washes. Most of our customers are women from the nearby streets who have been coming to us for years. They often come in to chat about their day as much as they do to shop for new clothes. We keep the prices low so that regular people can afford them without worrying. Sometimes we get really busy during the festival season and the whole shop feels like a whirlwind of cloth and thread. We don't do any advertising or social media stuff. People just see the sign outside or hear about us from a neighbor and walk in. It’s honest work. We check the stitching on every piece ourselves. It’s just a small local business for the people in Saidabad.
