Shankar Electronics

We have been here at Shankar Electronics for a good while now, right in Mata Laxmi Colony. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets because of the Kothapet Fruit Market just across the way. It’s always a bit of a mess with the trucks coming in and out at early hours, but we have gotten used to it. The shop itself is pretty straightforward. We mostly deal with fixing up gadgets and looking at electronics that people bring in when they stop working right. Most days, it is just us sitting behind the counter, testing circuits or waiting for parts to arrive. It is not a fancy place, and we do not try to make it look like one. There is usually a pile of old boards in the corner and tools scattered around where we are working. We see a lot of people from the Chaitanya Techno School area dropping by on their way home. Sometimes the heat gets pretty bad, so we keep the fan running all day, which makes a lot of noise, but it is better than sweating. We just do our work, talk to the regulars who stop by to chat about the neighborhood, and try to get things fixed so people can get back to their lives. It is a quiet living for the most part, aside from the traffic outside. We do not really do much advertising because people just know where we are.
