Astha Sterling Crane Pvt Ltd is based out of B-1 in the Industrial Estate in Sanathnagar. It is a heavy-duty kind of area, very industrial. If you come by, you will see a lot of metal and concrete everywhere. We are right in the Sanath Nagar IE, surrounded by other units that are always busy. Our yard is filled with cranes of different sizes. They look like big yellow giants when they are all parked together at the end of the day. The ground is stained with oil and there are heavy chains and hooks lying around. It is a noisy place, and there is always the sound of metal clanging or engines idling. The office is just a small partitioned room in the corner of the big shed. We have some old filing cabinets and a desk that is usually covered in a layer of dust. It is not a place for sitting around and looking pretty. We are mostly out there checking the cables and making sure the engines are running right. Sanathnagar is a good spot for us because it is easy to get the cranes onto the main roads without getting stuck. We have been at B-1 for quite some time now, and we know the rhythms of the estate perfectly. The morning start is usually early, before the sun is fully up. We have our tea, check the daily schedules, and get the machines ready. It is hard work, but it is what we know and do.
