Shailaja Nara

My place is located in South Kamalanagar, which is right by the Ecil post office. I go by the name Shailaja Nara and this is where I’ve set up my little workspace. Hyderabad is such a big, spreading place, but this little corner in 500062 feels like home to me. The address is 1-7-195/2 and I've been staying and working here for a good while now. I don't really have a fancy sign or any bright lights outside, just a desk and the work that needs doing each day. It gets pretty busy around here because of the post office being so close. People are always coming and going, carrying parcels or waiting in line. I find that I spend most of my time just keeping track of everything that comes across my desk. It’s a bit of a small space, I’ll admit, but it’s enough for one person to stay busy and productive. I try not to overcomplicate things with big words or fancy systems. If there is work to be done, I just sit down and do it. That’s how it’s always been for me since I started. Living in South Kamalanagar has its ups and downs, just like any other part of the city, but it is convenient for getting things moved around quickly. My neighbors are mostly local families and small shops that have been here for years. I like the mix of people you see every day on the street. It’s not corporate at all, just me in my local spot doing my daily chores.
