You can find us at Siri Fashions Jewellery on Race Court Road in Malakpet, right near Yashoda Hospital. Being so close to the hospital means there is always a lot of activity and traffic passing by our front door. We have been here for a good number of years now, focusing on jewelry and various small repairs. The shop is not very big, so we have to be careful about how we use the space. We have a couple of glass counters and some old stools for people to sit on while they look at things. Most of our day is spent working with small tools and under bright lamps. It is quiet, steady work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really noisy, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and talk to people like normal neighbors. If we are busy, you might have to wait a minute while we finish up what’s in our hands. We try to be as helpful as we can without making things complicated. It’s just a local business trying to do right by the people in Malakpet. We stay open until fairly late most evenings because that is when a lot of people are heading home and stop by. It keeps us busy and we like the routine of it all.
