Shaik Khader

It’s Shaik Khader here, and you can find me over at the Yousuf Complex. We are on the 3rd floor, specifically at 20-4-1112/14. Being right in the Julu Khana area of Lad Bazar means it’s always crowded and noisy outside. Charminar is just a stone's throw away, so the energy of Hyderabad is always right at the doorstep. The stairs up to the third floor can be a bit of a climb when it’s middle of the afternoon and the sun is beating down on the roof. Inside, it’s a bit more peaceful, though you can still hear the auto-rickshaws honking down below. The complex itself is quite old and has that specific smell of old concrete and dust. I spend most of my hours here, sitting at a desk that has seen better days. There’s no fancy air conditioning, just a couple of wall fans that hum while I work. Sometimes the tea seller from downstairs brings up a glass of Irani chai, which helps me get through the afternoon slump. It’s a very local way of doing things, nothing like those big offices in Hitech City. People come in and out, mostly asking for directions or looking for someone else in the building. It’s a bit chaotic, but it is home for my work. I wouldn’t know how to act in a quiet office anyway.
