Chef Bakes

We set up Chef Bakes right across from the Hafeezpet station in Said Nagar Colony. It’s a busy spot, and we spend most of our mornings getting things ready for the daily crowd. The oven stays on pretty much all day. We started small in Old Hafeezpet because we liked the neighborhood and wanted to be where people actually live and commute. It's not a fancy place, just a kitchen where we do our work. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when the trains come in, but we manage. We handle the baking ourselves, from mixing the dough to checking the timers. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually covered in flour by noon. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure everything is out on time. The shop at 2-496 is easy to find if you’re walking from the platform. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know many of the faces who stop by. It’s just how we run things, keeping it simple and local. We focus on what we’re doing today and try to get it right. There isn't much to say other than we like what we do and we’re glad to be part of the colony. If you see smoke from the chimney, you know we're busy. We just keep our heads down and keep the trays moving. It's a job we enjoy, even on the long days. We try to keep the counters clean and the shelves stocked, but it's a constant battle with the flour.
