S. S. V. Fashions

Our shop is at H. No. 2-27, right on Nizampet Road in Hyder Nagar. If you know where the Z. P. H. School is, you’ll find us easily because we’re right opposite it. It’s Shop No. 2, and it’s a handy location, though the noise from the school kids during their lunch break can get pretty loud. We’ve been here in Kukatpally for a while, and we’ve seen the road get busier and busier every year. S. S. V. Fashions is where we spend almost all our time, surrounded by rolls of cloth and different outfits we’re working on. The landmark of the school helps people find us, which is good because sometimes the street numbers get confusing for delivery drivers. We keep the shop open late most nights because that’s when people are heading home from work and decide to stop by. The floor is usually covered in little bits of thread and fabric scraps by five o'clock, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a simple life, really, just managing the orders and making sure the shop looks decent for whoever walks in next. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still written down in our old ledgers. It feels more personal that way. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air cool enough while we’re busy with the sewing machines and measuring tapes all day long. We just take things as they come and try to keep up.
