S. L. V. Communication & Electronics

Our shop, S. L. V. Communication & Electronics, is located on the second floor of Aziz Plaza. If you know Begum Bazar, you know how crowded and loud it gets around there. We are right in the middle of all that near Ousmania Hospital. The walk up the stairs to the second floor is a bit narrow and steep but once you get inside, it is just wall-to-wall electronics. We have wires, circuit boards, and spare parts scattered all over our workbenches. It is not a polished showroom like you see in the malls. It is a real workshop where we spend our days hunched over with soldering irons or testing different gadgets. Feelkhana is a busy place so there is always a lot of noise from the street coming through the windows. We do not have a receptionist or fancy chairs for people to sit in. Usually, it is just us and a few customers talking about what needs to be fixed. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a break but mostly we are just busy with the tools. We have been here for years and we like being part of the bustle in Begum Bazar. It is a lot of hard work and it can get quite hot in the afternoons but it keeps us going. We are just local people who know our way around a circuit board.
