D-148 - United Engineering Corporation

We’ve been at 147 R P Road for quite a while now. It’s a busy spot. Most days are just spent dealing with blueprints and machines that need fixing. There’s always a lot of noise coming from the back. Sometimes the shop floor gets a bit messy with all the metal scraps and oil, but that's just how engineering work goes. We don't really do anything fancy here. People come in with parts that aren't working right or they need something fabricated from scratch. It’s mostly just us trying to keep things moving. The building itself is nothing special to look at. Just a solid place where work gets done. You can usually find one of us buried under a machine or talking to a supplier on the phone. R P Road stays pretty crowded, especially in the mornings when everyone is trying to get their deliveries in. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our routine stays the same. We drink a lot of tea while looking over technical drawings. It’s hard work, but we’re used to it. The tools are old but they still work fine for what we need. If you walk past, you’ll probably see the big sign and some trucks parked out front. We try to keep things organized, but in this business, things usually end up scattered around by noon. That's just the reality of it. No big corporate meetings here, just regular folks getting their hands dirty and making sure the jobs are finished. We just keep at it every day.
