Reliance Blinds & Interiors

We are situated on the first floor at 8-1-388, right next to the Syndicate Bank on R P Road. It’s a handy landmark because almost everyone knows where the bank is. Being on the first floor means we get a decent view of the street, but we also have to carry everything up the stairs, which can be a bit of a workout. At Reliance Blinds & Interiors, our workspace is often covered in fabric swatches, wallpaper books, and small bits of hardware. It is a bit of a creative mess most of the time. We have a couple of old chairs for when people want to sit down and look through the catalogs. The light in here is okay, though we added some extra lamps for the darker corners where we keep the blind samples. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby area. You just walk in and one of us will be there, probably holding a screwdriver or a catalog. The noise from R P Road is constant, but you stop noticing it after a while. We spend our days talking about window sizes and wall colors, trying to figure out what will fit in different spaces. It’s a busy life, and there’s always a phone ringing or someone coming in with a question. We just take it one task at a time and try to stay on top of the pile.
