Being in Kukatpally means there’s always something going on outside. Our office is at MIG-343 in the A.P.H.P. Colony, which is part of Balaji Nagar. It’s an older residential area, so the office feels more like a home that’s been turned into a workplace. We have Rao & Narayan on the sign outside. Inside, you’ll find plenty of shelves packed with box files from years ago. The rooms are a bit small, but they fit our desks and the computers we need. We spend most of our hours looking at balance sheets and trying to make sense of different tax laws. It’s quiet work, mostly. On some days, it’s just the hum of the air conditioner and the ticking of the clock while we go through bank statements. People from around the colony often drop by just to ask a quick question about their filings. We don’t have fancy furniture or a corporate lobby. It’s just a place where we do the accounting and auditing. Sometimes we stay late when the deadlines are close, ordering snacks from the local shops nearby. Kukatpally has changed a lot over the years, becoming so crowded, but our little spot in Balaji Nagar stays pretty much the same. We focus on the rows and columns of figures, making sure everything adds up correctly for the people who bring us their records. It's a straightforward life here.
