Ramana Reddy & Co. is based out of Vasthu Apartments in Vengalrao Nagar. We are in Flat No. 202. Being on the second floor of an apartment building makes for a different kind of office environment. It’s more like a home that’s been turned into a workspace. Vengalrao Nagar is a busy area of Hyderabad, and we’ve been here at 69/A for a long time. Our desks are usually piled high with tax forms and audit reports. It’s a small firm, so everyone knows what’s going on with every client. We don't have fancy receptionists or a lobby with a fountain. It's just a place where we do accounting work. Most of our clients are local businesses or people who live nearby. They walk up the stairs and we sit down to talk about their finances. It’s a very direct way of working. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. The apartment has a lot of windows, which is nice for natural light during the day. When the filing deadlines get close, we are usually here late into the night. It’s just the way the profession works. We try to make sure everything is accurate so there aren't any problems later. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We value the quiet hours when we can really focus on the numbers. We’ve been at this a while and know the routines well.
