Pragna School

Pragna School is tucked away at 16, Dr Samuel Street in Bachapuram. It’s not on a main road, so it’s a bit quieter than some of the other schools in the area. The street is narrow, and neighbors are always passing by the front gate. We’ve been operating here for a while, and the building is just a standard two-story structure. Inside, the walls are covered with some old charts and student drawings. We have a small staff room where we keep all the books and attendance sheets. During the lunch break, the whole place smells like the different foods the kids bring from home. We don’t have a big sports field, so physical education happens in the small courtyard or sometimes we just take them for a walk. The desks are a bit scratched up, but they serve the purpose. Most of the people in Bachapuram know where we are because their kids or their neighbors’ kids have been here. It’s a very local atmosphere where everyone knows everyone else. We just stick to the books and try to make sure the students understand their lessons. There’s nothing flashy about the place, just a regular school where children come to spend their day. Sometimes the water pump makes a lot of noise, and the gate squeaks, but we just get on with things as usual. It's a simple life here on Samuel street.
